When you mention tuning, you are referring to IMPRINT tuning I suppose ?

The ICE guy told me either use IMPRINT or time-correction. Can't use both same time.

Use 9887 with iPod cable. I'm using it (see pic).

 

For tuning, there're 3 options:

 

a. Using 9887 tuning: it comes with 5 para EQs and TA (Timing Adjust) to position the sound properly.

 

b. Using additional IMPRINT unit: auto EQ and TA - better than 9887 itself.

 

c. Using 701 processor unit: 31 bands EQ both R and L, able to drive 3-way active. Best of lot. I'm using this. Your tuner will use a control unit to tune and store into memory of 701, as the 9887 cannot directly control the 701 processor.
