Circuit Clutched September 4, 2008 Share September 4, 2008 was on k105 previously... grip not really push.. but i prefer v8rs progressiveness... perform quite well actually compare to my fren mich preceda2. and more silent than my fren's, best cheaper than mich. its a good buy i should say and wear rate is definitly better than V8rs :) i would use again for sure . The01 Neutral Newbie September 5, 2008 Author Share September 5, 2008 Tnx Circuit and all for your prompt replies. Ya, it looks exactly like Michelin Pilot Premacy - it makes sense though, since Michelin has agreed to share their Technologies with Hankook. Cheers! Glim Neutral Newbie October 4, 2008 Share October 4, 2008 I used GR80 in the 90s, so it's very old design. Only alittle better than Aspec dB in handling which is another popular (but bad) tyre in Singapore for strange reasons. GR80 is really unknown when compared to most performance tyres, especially outside South East Asia. Between GR80 and V8, which perform better ? Scaglietti Neutral Newbie October 5, 2008 Share October 5, 2008 (edited) Errr... GR80 was launch somewhere 2003. Before that it was GR50. By no means GR80 is a performance tyre. It is design to be a touring tyre. The Turanzas, both GR50 & GR80, are way better than Aspec DB in terms of grip and handling. The DNA DB is better though. Glim Neutral Newbie October 5, 2008 Share October 5, 2008 Well. My lancer was bought in mid 90s. Got the GR80 as my second tyre after reading Wheel Asia which was free those days (maybe can check from their archive) Certainty this tyre is not at all new that some might have thought. Scaglietti Neutral Newbie October 8, 2008 Share October 8, 2008 (edited) Definitely not GR80. I already found the press release of Bridgestone launching GR80 in 2003. GR80 was never an OEM tyre. C&C has always been selling Lancers with Yokohamas. (I used to drive a Lancer.) You've probably remembered the wrong tyre model. Bridgestone used to have B65, B70 & B80 which was sometimes shipped with new cars. Maybe that was the one you were refering to. Thoses tyres are really not that good. The01 Neutral Newbie October 23, 2008 Author Share October 23, 2008 Hi Carmodz, Not yet as I'm still in 2 minds whether to go for K105 or V12 and also thinking of B/Stone GR80. My current tyres are still in 'working order'. I try to locate Hankook Tyre shop at Outram Road without success......or has it moved? Cheers!
