Q: Extra Engine Oil

Last week during the change of Engine Oil.

The Machanic top up 5 quarts of Engine oil into my car instead of 4.5 quarts.

Is this healthy for a Engine to run on extra Engine oil. When I draw out the measure belt. I can see that the oil is dip pass the "High" level indication.

Please advise ... Should I go back or let it be. [:)]

what car you have? or rather, what kind of engine you have? wet or dry sump?

if dry sump, the problem isn't too great

but chances are you have a wet sump engine. the crankshaft rotating in the oil will cause aeration and foam may form (think beating eggs). This can lead to a few problems, including poor lubrication, overheated oil, oxidation and a loss of oil pressure.

anyway, it isn't too hard to remove extra oil. make sure your engine is cool. get yourself a clear teflon tube (those you use for fish tank air) and a hand-soap pump from Daiso. run the tube down the dip stick shaft and attach the other end to the hand pump and pump away.

DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT.

can afford to pay for petrol and oil change but $2 u can't spend??? the hand-soap pump from Daiso is only $2 la bro.

sucking by mouth - u'll definitely get vapours in your body which are cancer causing.
