I took part in the chinook aireil ride lucky draw on Sunday and got to ride the Chinook. The flight is 15 mins from PLairbase to macritchie reseviour to PSA port to sentosa island back to PLairbase. And once the chinook is in the air, they open up the rear hatch all the way until before landing, and i was lucky enough to sit right beside the hatch, so i got the best view. No photos to show because i was using my video cam to video the whole process. The view of Spore from the helicopter, priceless. Probably the only time in my life i will fly in a helicoter...

Thank you for sharing.

The RSAF have come along way since 1968 starting with Cessna trainers & 2nd hand Hawker Hunter fighters and has progressed tremendously to defend our sky against surprised attacks.

I am proud of our Air Force and the part it plays in our national security.

LOL !

are u for real?

"tremendously defend our sky" ? [confused]

if really anyone wants to destroy singapore will be flattened by a nuclear bomb launched from another country and control by GPS to land in the middle of orchard road.

the pilots are still sleeping! [laugh]

Ah boy, ever wondered why the other countries which are capable of attacking us have not done so thus far? You could have also take a knife and stab someone you hate, but why didn't you do it?

The real answer: Are the consequences worth it?

The next thing you'll ask is what are the consequences? For that, you'll have to use your blain and think hard. [shakehead]

Surprise attacks...

Like the 2 cases of aircraft (Beechcraft and Cessna) which unintentionally trespassed into our airspace? [rolleyes]

But have to give credit for the way they handled the interception.

Of the 3 forces, RSAF is the most 'professional'.

While the Army is the most wayang. [:p]

yah hor, all father & mother son who serve SAF knows better.

We Wayang is better than being a Gu Niang country, sit down do nothing.

At least we outside look very fierce, the enemy will think twice.

if we're a Gu Niang country, our neighbours confirm will suka suka off the tap water & drive their tanks in to lim kopi.
