The previous generation of GTR was based on the Skyline coupes by Nissan, so they are called the Nissan Skyline GTR, often referred to as "Nissan Skyline" in short by many.

The new Nissan GTR is built on its dedicated platform, and does not share the Skyline chassis (which is still sold worldwide as Skyline coupes). So the supercar is no longer called the Nissan Skyline GTR, but as Nissan GTR.

It took many of us quite a while to drop the "Skyline" moniker since it was THE LEGENDARY supercar name for so such a long time.

I agree, recently seen quite a few liao on the road and park in certain carparks. thumbsup.gif Seen a black one at Raffles Country Club. Very nice, and definitely not a member cos parked in visitor lots.

i prefer the previous skyline. the new one like too common on sg roads, and somehow loses the exclusive and rare feel. but no doubt it is a beauty. plus the previous skyline has manual but not the newest one. top gear presenter jeremy clarkson said that the new gtr is too good until it is kind of boring. meaning the on board computer 'predicts' the mistakes that u will make and corrects it, & i feel that takes away the driving experience.

The ATTESA as with all electronic assists have its limitations. It is still not enough to take you from Zero to Hero.

So if you have a R35 GTR, it still take some skills to clock a respectable timing.

All the damn ebolewtion drivers better stop thinking their ACD or AYC is gonna help them negotiation 90 deg bends at 200kph. [rolleyes]

See them everyday on the road. Sometime a few times in a day. I heard from a PI says 400 on the road already. I think there is more GTR than EVO X now because don't see E10 so frequent
