Australia: How strict is Car Rental in Australia?

Would like to find out if i rent a car in Gold Coast (e.g. Falcon or Camry), can the car sit 4 adult & 2 kids? understand the rule say sit 5, i know i would get into trouble only when there is an accident, anyone tried?

Insurance is smelly wan...nothing happen is ok..once if kana...they will say that is all stated clearly...

Get a MPV lor, you need space for the bags.

this rule always apply.. everything can do, but don't get caught.

u know, they also need u to have child restraint (if below certain size) and everyone must be belted up.

 

last time i was there, due to ignorance, everything boh chap..taya botak leow (skidded a couple of times), car engine sound like lorry, insurance also didn't buy, but drive happy happy for 3 months until i sold the car off to another student. now thinking back, if something happen..

MPV cost easily 2x more than the big sedan, i only need to ferry the people not really the bags ... somemore the MPV not much choice
