Oh.. my GR80 wet grip so poor..!!step on brake.. skipped and Bang..!!

and was only trevelling at 60km..!

 

guys , any recommendation to any good tyre for 15"..han+cork ?

well, i think one of your front tyre is on the white line. Agree that GR80 is bad in wet grip. I'm now on firehawk, so far so good.

yeah i agree..gr80 is a good enuff tyre.imho.

were u following close?if u were, dont expect any tyre to save from banging..

i think the impt thing is that it skid

 

perhaps the tyres are already Old?

did your tyres rotation?

 

also there can be a possibility of slight oil spill on road,

uneven brake pressure...

 

thus try to E brake on a very deserted rd... very deserted.

if it does skid again. good to check brakes, and prehaps

a tyres change.

 

although i'm on Hankook K415, the wet is more than satisfactory,

i reckon GR80 is pretty good as well.

how old is the tyres? on what car?

 

was considering GR80 for comfort and hope to lower down some road noise.

thats not quite true. Some tyres feels like metal on wet roads. It's a scary feeling. After those experiences (I had my fair share), I realised I rather go for those noisy but sticky tyres.

try michelin mx1.. very good. just installed in my ride. tried a few day in the heavy rain, super... grip on dry also very good...no regret.

Sure you only on 60km/hr ? GR80 skidded ? How wet ? Heavy or drizzling ? How long have you used your GR80 ?

Your car can skipped? [laugh]

 

Anyway, GR-80 is not that bad lah. Perhaps there was some oil on the road?
