Kianbeng Clutched August 22, 2008 Share August 22, 2008 Hi guys, I have a Proton wira (overseas - not JB not SG) which I've been troubleshooting a problems for quite some time. After changing a few parts - solved some other problems and now it's left with a engine dying problem when the engine is hot + idling. Now I've narrowed down to the ignition - plug wires or the ignition dist. So my plan is to buy them and replace it. Can anyone advise how much would a distributor (or ignition coil) cost for a Proton Wira 1.5A? Year around 2000. I was quoted S$500 (overseas) just for parts when I visited 1 workshop. Quite shocked. Thought coils should be quite cheap....somemore it's proton. Not long ago, I DIY changed my mum's MB E200's Coil on Plugs. Each coil only cost $30. x 4 = $120. So cheap. Think I must have been quoted a extorbitant price for that proton coil. Will check the spare parts shop locally in SG. I also called my JB contact...they said it cost about RM600. Any idea how much it cost in SG? ↡ Advertisement
