No. My supercharger has an Air-dam built around it to accumulate air. ADM supercharger is air-cooled vs. Liquid cool. Because of this the engine temperature can hit 200. I am not sure if you are familiar or not from what I see you are driving a NA Car? (NA means Naturally Air Aspiration).

NA means "Naturally Aspirated" lar laugh.giflaugh.giflaugh.gif

Yup. Agree. Most reputable engine oil will be alright.

However, i think different oil will have slight differences which cater to different group of user although they might have the same viscosity or grade (e.g 5W30, 0W50)

Engine Oil - Make up of 70 to 80 % Base Oil and the rest by additives. The additives added can vary widely. There are more specifications to engine oil beside the grade, such as the Viscosity Index (VI), Total Base Number (TBN), sulphated ash content etc.

Sometimes additives are also added to "enhance" some parameters, while some additives are added to enhance lubricating properties of the oil. Anti-wear additives can also be added in. There are thousands of different formulation to the additives that can be added.

These additives cause the difference engine oil. Although some might say that TRD engine oil is actually made by some big oil major, however, it is the additives package that they specified to the manufacturer to be added into the engine oil, that makes their engine oil suits the customer more.

my next lubricant used would be shell helix ultra 5w - 40 any comments? hope didnt make any wrong selection . still newbie.. [bigcry]

From my own personal experience, after using SHU for 5,000 km mileage, my engine is not as smooth as when oil is changed.

My engine feels more smoother with other brands of engine oil like fuchs, elf and now voltronic even after 5,000 km mileage.

Neutral Newbie

hi,

Anyone tried "REV 1 Energy Fully Synthetic Motor oil" ? Compared to the usual "Mobil 1" or "Shell Helix Ultra", which would be better ?

Thanks in advance [:)]
