Robo 2nd Gear August 26, 2008 Share August 26, 2008 firstly it is too high... meaning your stability is being compromised as your car's cg is high. secondly i find it fugly looking.. abit the defeats the purpose of changing the shocks.. my advise is spend abit more get a lowered spring. Kyojin 1st Gear August 26, 2008 Share August 26, 2008 sorry bro, i don't agree with two points. CG - even at stock height, it's not that high to be "unstable", that's just in the mind. unless of course you drive like a maniac, then you shouldn't even be driving. Changing shocks - if you old shocks are gone, you need new ones. and doesn't mean they have to be cosmetic.
Robo 2nd Gear August 26, 2008 Share August 26, 2008 EH... my personal opinion la... well stock ht are probably comfortable...
Emperor Clutched August 28, 2008 Share August 28, 2008 I agree with Kyo. My first set of suspensions and springs were lowering springs and they drastically lowered my car's CG(1 fingers from wheel to arch on rear). This didnt make the car any more stable than that of the tanabe's which I changed to after that which wasnt that low(5 fingers from wheel to arch on rear). In fact the tanabe's were more stable and it had better road holding as the lowered ones were only good for drifting the rear of the car....
Stevegring Neutral Newbie September 29, 2008 Share September 29, 2008 Bro, any lobang for shock absorbers and springs. Cos my present ride is too bumpy and have the springing effect as well. I guess the springs are degraded already.
Starletgt Neutral Newbie September 29, 2008 Share September 29, 2008 What is your current suspension setup? Maybe we could meetup and take a look.

Stevegring Neutral Newbie September 29, 2008 Share September 29, 2008 I dont know leh. I just know that the rear suspension is of Koni. But the ride is really uncomfortable. When there's too much of springing effect, does that mean that the spring's life is gone? Was thinking of replacing the springs and absorbers, as well as the window seal. But I know it will cost me a bomb. So if I could get it from MY, I think it will be cheaper.
Starletgt Neutral Newbie September 29, 2008 Share September 29, 2008 U can find original suspension and springs in Singapore. Won't cost a diff in getting from Singapore or Malaysia. ↡ Advertisement
