Back in the heady good times of the late 90s and early millenium, COEs cost up to $30k+ also.

 

But petrol was much cheaper back then.

I bot my civic in 2000 for $88k. Now it's $70k or so. And still made in Japan. The corolla in this case, we all know the history.

 

Sighz, the govt is still the same, like to mislead people with half truths....

not accusing him of cheating. just feel it's not right to use 1 sider data to put the point across.

 

frankly, he should use 1996 data where corolla is indeed 110k.

htundai elantra (cat eye version) in year 1996 or 1998 (can't remember) cost about 100k... made in korea cost u 100k!!

 

and honda civic ek cost ard 120k at that time...

I think you got your facts wrong, unless your civic is 2nd hand. I bought a new honda city at $84k in sep 2000. A civic at that time cost around $100k. If a civic is $88k, I'd have bought one already.

yah, in Oct 2000 it was 88k with coe at $36k.

 

Cannot be i remember wrongly leh as it was my 1st new car. And i sold it in Apr 2002 after driving for 1.5 yrs.

U say he anyhow wack and mislead.. u better check if in 2000 got any month where corolla selling at 110k.. if have he can sue your pants off.. [:p]
