Speedblade Neutral Newbie August 16, 2008 Author Share August 16, 2008 no my friend. have not invested in a good tripod yet. the shots were done @ iso1600, handheld, and the stabilizer made it possible to shoot at the slow speed without a tripod. Boyboy 1st Gear August 16, 2008 Share August 16, 2008 iso1600 and yet can't see noise!.. Lost of camera already cmi at >iso400 u mean compacts. my low-end nikon DSLR gives good results for normal printing size at ISO 800. 1600 for viewing on computer screen no sweat. but i must say the TS has a real steady hand
Kwchan 1st Gear August 17, 2008 Share August 17, 2008 but nikon still sucks at white balance. Try shoot a similar scene with your nikon and compare with Canon You will then understand why Nikon logo is yellow
Boyboy 1st Gear August 17, 2008 Share August 17, 2008 (edited) nothing a lil tweaking can't fix . the newer low-end nikons are pretty ok in their wb. but if one has any issues, just whip out white card and AWB, or shoot raw sometimes, i feel like i want the best of both worlds, canon sensor/processor in a nikon shell/interface. canon bodies simply CMI imho . picture quality, everyone says canon is better, so maybe they are right i learnt on nikon, so i am familiar with it, so i shoot nikon. maybe if my school provided canon instead, i'd be a canon user now edit: i shd add that i used to shoot a d40x, now d300. the D300 takes some time to setup and get used to, and took a firmware update to get the colours a bit less... YELLOW i was pretty much at home with the 40x right out of the box. but i wanted the upgrade cos there were stuff that i wanted to do that required more features.. oh well Edited August 17, 2008 by Boyboy
Kwchan 1st Gear August 17, 2008 Share August 17, 2008 Time is a luxury and time is $$ when commercial photographer have so much photos to process and deadline to meet.
Boyboy 1st Gear August 17, 2008 Share August 17, 2008 i mean in-camera tweaking leh. even for canon, i don't think you just set it to AWB and program mode, auto ISO and go into a commercial shoot all guns blazing right? ↡ Advertisement
