Subzro Neutral Newbie August 15, 2008 Share August 15, 2008 Based on my other thread which asked for comments on Kumho KU31 and KU15. And also to benefit those who are contemplating this model for next change. I have finally scrubbed the rubbers enough. And would like to review this tyre against what I was using previously, Goodyear Eagle F1(Thai). Overview: Tyre aspect ratio: 205/45R16 Speed Rating: Y Traction: AA Temperature: A Treadwear: 220 Pros: Sidewall is stiffer Sharper steering response(Due to the straight rib in the middle) Good lateral and linear grip once warmed up Commendable in the wet Cons: No rim protector Ride is a little harsh(Maybe because of the side profile) Compound is a little unsuitable on rough roads, potholes From here, I can conclude that this tyre is a good run for its value. It does its job without much squealing and without much hesitation under spirited driving. Downside is that the treadwear is quite high but that is what I expected from an Ultra High Performance Tyre(Or Extreme Summer, claims Kumho USA). For those who demand comfort, this is not the tyre to ponder for your next tyre change. Will update again the milespan reaches 10k. Subzro Neutral Newbie August 16, 2008 Author Share August 16, 2008 AD07? I think the tread looks more like S.Drive though.. Maybe the large shoulder blocks make it resemble AD07.. http://shina.allforauto.ru/fotos/sdrive_b.jpg
Auditt Neutral Newbie August 16, 2008 Share August 16, 2008 Hows the wet doing? Any idea the price for 215/45/17 ?
Darkblue 1st Gear August 16, 2008 Share August 16, 2008 No la, I do not mean the thread design Kumho made KU15 with intention to compete with the "dry-king" eg. AD07 RS2 Was intended to buy KU15, but ended up with KU31 because of price
Subzro Neutral Newbie August 16, 2008 Author Share August 16, 2008 (edited) Wet grip?? Havent tried it out yet.. But when the road is damp, grip is there but I avoided pushing it harder.. Price wise, lets say I got mine for slightly above 120/pc.. Edited August 16, 2008 by Subzro

Boyboy 1st Gear August 19, 2008 Share August 19, 2008 icic.. RS2 may pricey compared to the mid-range tyres. but it performs like a wet dream however, it's more for trackies or mad drivers. comfort is somewhat compromised.

And comfort is no longer an option when choosing such tyres.. Edited August 19, 2008 by Sickscientist
