If they do 1 for 1 litre bought at current price or lower, I pump full full then go drive to Malacca and come back and pump full full in Singapore again.

AIya

Why waste petrol. I'll just go to Beach Road and buy a few jerry cans.. :P

Now about $109 liao ... I read on monday that oil prices were expected to rise but am pleasantly surprised that it has gone down instead.

I don't believe the analysts anymore... there was one time, they said oil prices will rise over $200 per barrel... den when it dropped..then they change their words. say oil prices will drop. [shakehead][shakehead]

IR is the scary thing. We are just betting on them before the casinos are built. At the current pace, the casinos will open in phases; as in phase I, II and so on. So they are not likely to delay. However negative sestiment in Macau will generally affect us eventually.

There are a lot of optimisms about the Casino.

What happens if it does not deliver the promised economy benefits, will that be another costly white elephant?

yes yes...don;t forget there's another bunck of so-called analyst who thought property prices will keep rising in Singapore. The same bunch are now saying it will correct downwards.

If forecasting prices means using a ruler to join 1 lower dot to a another higher dot (and vice versa), then my little girl can also be a analyst. Unfortunately, that's what these so call experts seem to be doing.

personally feel next year may be a bad year for property. There will be quite a few developments getting TOPed starting from next year and 2010. That's when those on deferred payments will have to start servicing their loans. Rentals on the other hand looks to be coming off. If those rentals cannot finance their mortages, then they will be forced to use cash to service those loans.

I am watching this mkt closely, i am both a buyer and a seller.

pls share your views.

The American dollar has strengthened over the past few weeks (used to be US$1 = S$1.35, now US$1 = US$1.43).

Maybe that partly explains the relative drop in oil price.
