Terras14 August 19, 2008 Share August 19, 2008 i think its a matter of getting used to the ctr stiff ride coz after a while when i take taxi or my fren toyota, i felt like i am in a boat and wanna vomit after a 30 mins ride...the only thing is the noise for ctr, its pretty noisy at times...but easy to solve, just kui the vtec ..in fact when my gf drove me, i can fall alseep in the passenger seat. ↡ Advertisement

Nazaki Clutched August 19, 2008 Share August 19, 2008 Your 4 choices hor.. If money is not an issue. There can only be 1 obvious winner. Honda Civic Type R Fits all your 5 points perfectly fine. The only downside is its price. :)
Rb26dett Clutched August 19, 2008 Share August 19, 2008 now i like type AHhhR
Chrispie 5th Gear August 20, 2008 Share August 20, 2008 Quote Wa... now Alfa selling so cheap? Selling old stock? Alfa 159 is a nice ride. Sat in one before. It is very eager to rev. The engine note is sweet. Euro R is nice too but I have not sat in one yet. Mods wise, I believe Euro R has more. Looks department, both have their good points. It is a demo unit.. showroom unit. Since it is not a test drive unit, i think 99k is actually quite reasonable.
Silhoutte Clutched August 20, 2008 Share August 20, 2008 Man I didn't see properly and voted Type R. I would choose the Accord Euro R over the Civic Type R. I personally feel that it looks more classy and executive.
Naimster Neutral Newbie August 20, 2008 Share August 20, 2008 (edited) You have to further define your requirements. Different requirements will tilt your preference of one over another. One good example, the fact that you want a 2L car means you want some good amount of passsenger and boot space over the smaller sized cars. So, if this is your requirement, the CTR will lose cos it's a 4 seater with a big hump in the rear. Few months back, I was considering the list you put down as well....at the end I went for Euro R for more practicality. It is still reasonably spacious for my family and yet allows me to do some spirited drive occasionally. Mark X was dismissed cos of the engine size (road tax $$$) and the fact that it's auto. It's also less spacious. Edited August 20, 2008 by Naimster

Forummer Neutral Newbie August 24, 2008 Share August 24, 2008 How come EX worst of the lot? Let's say if we look at it alone, is it good in terms of handling, performance for that price? Just wondering.
Pandaeyes Neutral Newbie August 24, 2008 Author Share August 24, 2008 Quote why not consider Alfa 159 2.2 Manual.. last weekend they selling a manual unit at 99800. How's Alfa 159? Heard many things abt Italian cars. Parts expensive right? 8 spark plugs right? Looks dept alfa wins man... I like the looks but ain't too sure of the reliability.
