Hi [:)]

Any advice on whether it is necessary to send new cars for the works like System6 and Rust proofing at Tuff Kote Dinol. According to some industry sources, not necessary as new cars already waxed and coated at the factory. Any comments ?[:)]

I say save your $$ as new cars have such protections already applied from factory.

Perhaps the grooming requires touch-up in 3-6months after U receive your car.

Depends really whether your new car has it?

If you go to their workshop at Sin Ming, you can sometime see batches of brand new car w/o number plates being "koted" there. Either that or the factory has already done the coats for u liao.... best to check with the car distributor.

Me think some of them don't do with tuff-clad...probably their own sub-contractor.

ya, that's right. Even the mazda 323 I bought not long ago didn't have tuff kote. But then my salesperson threw that in, as a package.

Perhaps the tuff kote companies do give the salesppl some discounts.....And now, I have to go for this tuff kote recoating every year to keep the warranty of tuff kote. It's $50 or $100 I think....but the first application for public cost like $300+.

Also, after the coating, your car will be dripping tuff kote. So if you have a private parking area, just be careful since it'll be staining the floor.

Also, during the first week or so after application, you need to avoid sandy roads as much as possible as the sand sticks on the guards since tuff kote is still wet and sticky.
