Des3k Neutral Newbie August 9, 2008 Share August 9, 2008 Paying $$$$$$$$ to replace just a plastic sh1t.. save the money buy some sticker cover it up.
Bearbear1494 Clutched August 9, 2008 Share August 9, 2008 One option is to do cubic printing. Something like a special layer of sticker formed around the dashboard console by means of water. Can do wood design, carbon fiber etc. More details can be found here : http://www.cubicclassic.com/galleria.htm Their SG office is in Tampines. Definitely more expensive than spray painting, but looks classier.
Linus Clutched August 9, 2008 Share August 9, 2008 hi there, you have started many threads, all looking for the same dashboard. please be reminded that you are not to start multiple threads on the same topics. regards, linus
Bearbear1494 Clutched August 9, 2008 Share August 9, 2008 Yup, cubic printing is nice, but by no means cheap. A few pieces of plastic trim can cost upwards of $300. But if it's a nice car like the Euro R that TS has, it's still quite worthwhile to get it done. For a cheap Milo tin like mine, a $4 can of Nippon Pylox spray paint is good enough. Reuters Clutched August 9, 2008 Share August 9, 2008 i have the same experience with the Ambipur liquid perfume too.. it corroded part of my dashboard, at the aircon vent.. in the end i changed the part that was corroded and it cost me around S$140.00.. now i will avoid using the liquid perfume and instead use the gel type air freshener.. at least it wont leak and corrode plastics.. Kb27 Supersonic August 9, 2008 Share August 9, 2008 If liquid perfume can corrode your dashboard, imagine what it can do to your lungs. I don't use perfume at all. If you want, can try aromatic essential oil is safer.

Fcw75 Hypersonic August 9, 2008 Share August 9, 2008 Yes, I have seen cars putting the bottle tilted at more than 45 degrees. Waiting for accident to happen. I am also using those solid type of air freshener, safer I guess. ↡ Advertisement
