Hi,

U need to clean e filter at ard 50k. The best way to see whether e filter needs to be cleaned is to chk whether there is a layer of dirt coated onto e filter. Take note that only K&N cleaning solution and oil must be used on the filter to avoid damage. Do not over-oil the filter.

Refer to http://knfilters.com/faq.htm for more details

i think it is also advisable to swap ur knn filter wif the stock one provided when sending the car for servicing at agent's workshop [nod] . reason being, when i sent my car for 1K km sevicing,i saw the mechanics at autolution blowclean someone knn filter! saw a set at autobacs, forgot the price though, shouldn't be more than $20. anyway autobacs is having a sale. alternatively you can buy the solution from the shop which sold u the filter.

stoopid mechanics [furious][furious] , especially those apprentice or sin chow ones. actually, knn filters can last throughout your car's lifetime, if proper car is taken. [thumbsup]

Dun assume outside mechanics r any smarter than agent's. My previous car sent to agent authorised workshop (AAS approved workshop somemore), had my K&N label pasted on the airbox wif the warning sticker clearly visible. The dodo 'mechanic' took out the k&n and was gonna pressure blow it clean. Luckily stopped him in time as i suspected they would do something like this. Worse part is after i tell him to stop coz it'a a k&n, he asked me... "what is a k&n filter?".... [shocked][shocked][shakehead][shakehead]
