Why do some car ads like to quote Civil Servants?

1. I've been seeing some ADs like to quote good comments from civil servants repeatedly on their car advertisment to seemingly trying to impress potential buyers. Do you guys think this will create a positive effect on sales performance meh?

 

2. To me, it is just trying to tell me the car is driven by conservative and boring fellows . I may be wrong.

Not specifically on nay brands..also wondering whether civil servants all go for certain brands one? I heard from friends that there are some ADs offer special discount scheme just for civil servants.

for all you know, my seniors who are working in stat boards, they have alot of honda streams and civics... does that mean those cars are conservative and boring too? since u assume civil servants to be conservative and boring fellows...

Besides a iron rice bowl, they are also a sizeable market, compared with other private companies.

So AD sales talk is that the majority say it's good, it must be good.

I'm a civil servant and I drive a civic FD.

 

You'll be surprised. There are some civil servants in my workplace that drives RX8, and one that drives S2000.

 

My colleagues and myself always joked that since we have no time to enjoy life, the only 2 things that we can spend on are holiday packages and cars...
