Best place to customize extractor

What would be the absolute best place to have a set of extractors customised with regards to workmanship?

That would include knowledge of the car's ecu and how to relocate and rewire the O2 sensors..etc.

I've made enquiries at the usual suspects but none of them seem to offer me confidence. Some of what they said goes at odds with the results i got from modelling software and extractor design sites. One well known shop even said extending the primaries would cause a drop in low-end torque.... [sweatdrop] Another known shop has very restrictive joints at the primary->secondary junction instead of using a proper set of y-collectors.

Anyone with alternate recommendations?

u cant go to any workshop and custom a header. confirm will loss power & waste money...

header must do R&D than got use. ur those software & sites also no use.

u must see got those big tuning company make header for ur car or not, even they make for ur car, u must do a search before u buy, make sure someone dyno it before & it making power.

what car u driving?

what car u driving? why not buy a available aftermarket one, or least a replica based on the aftermarket. i think think local ahbeng ahseng workshops can design a good extractor by themselves [sweatdrop]

My ride is an Hyundai Avante. Just hoping to unlock some power and still improve low end torque and drivability. Most of what the exhaust shops recommend will simply end up with high end boost, but bad for low end. Basically i just want to try an experiment to see how something built according to theory and software modelled specifications turns out. I'd think it should at least be better than the guesswork in the usual workshops.

The only aftermarket extractors for this car costs $800+ in korea alone and I can't find any feedback on it. Lookswise, it isn't very convincing either.

The problem about aftermarket tuning parts for this model is that very few countries use the same gamma 1.6 engine model as we use here. Other markets use the beta2 2.0L which is well established.

the time money and effort put into either a aftermarket headers or a custom one doesnt justify against the performance gains.seriously.

aftermarket extractors give very little gains to performance anyway.i give u an example

a)customize or buy a set of extractors

b)remove all unnesesary parts from ur car like spare tire and some bits and pieces.

the above 2 gives you about the same results.

alternatively you can hunt around in some hyundai forums for a used unit which definately cost much much lesser than retail price.

Basically most mods hardly worth the money. But stil we itch for it and sometimes its just a part of a learning process, a hobby if you will. [:)]

I'm not expecting any huge gains in peak HP, what I want is to extend the powerband to enhance the driving experience. I had an ECU reflash for my car which gained me about 10HP peak which may not seem much, but much improved the performance due to the increase in torque accross the whole powerband. I'm currently looking for mods with a similar effect to unlock more power without adversely affecting the reliability.

Frankly, I'm not into hardcore tracking, though i enjoy a bit of fun driving from time to time. I dun particularly enjoy removing stuff from my car that affects its general utility. [:)]

Anything up to $1k is fine with me. The problem is that 2nd hand extractor for this engine model doesn't exist in sg. This is because this engine is only 2yrs old and its not available in the US market, basically only korea, sg and other obscure countries. Frankly there is one model available in korea for $800..and it'll prolly cost $1k if I bring it in. However, for that amount of money, I'm just wondering if I can customize a set to perform closer to what I want.
