How to keep existing Plate No ? Help needed

Can someone advise the following situation.

 

I am selling my ride to someone(not to the dealer)in Aug. My new car will only come in Nov.

Question : How to keep this old plate until my new car arrives ? What about the old car that I am selling, can get a new plate for the buyer ?

Go to LTA.

 

Fill up a form R03 to retent this number. Pay $1300 at counter 18.

LTA will issue a new plate to yr existing car.

 

Inform yr NEW car dealer/agent u be using yr old plate. Pass him the letter from LTA and register yr new car with yr existing plate.

 

Within weeks, LTA will rebate $1200 for registering a NEw car with yr existing plate.
