For this whole week during morning hours (7 Plus), the jam along Jalan Boon Lay towards Jurong island was always there [sweatdrop][sweatdrop][sweatdrop]

Traffic came to a snail crawl at times [dizzy][dizzy][dizzy]

Anybody know Si Mi Dai Chi Boh [rolleyes][rolleyes][rolleyes]

Or Sing Ga Po Nan are getting richer & richer hence more & more vehicles are on the road these days [gossip][gossip][gossip]

Bro, not that one [:)]

It's the other way leading from Jurong Point towards the Jurong Island one [:)]

Before you reach Boon Lay MRT Station, if you turn left at the junction cheonging up towards Jurong Island one [;)]

The jam though not as worse as the Crossway jam [:p] but at times was really crawling [dizzy][dizzy][dizzy]

Been using that route to lead to AYE all along but it was jus this week which traffic really came to a snail crawl [gossip][gossip][gossip]

I was thinking there are many factors.

1)Raining, so drivers slower.

2)Heavy vehicles now drive on ALL three lanes. Accelerating slowly.

3) Taxis ALWAYS cut in cut out to gain some time, but in fact is causing other vehicles to slow down even more!

But I think the main problem is the change in traffic light timings!

4) Change in traffic light timings. It used to be that the traffic lights (along MRT track towards jurong point) has longer red light stoppages. But lately it seems, the traffice light at this huge junction at jurong point towards Jurong island has being adjusted. The direction towards Jurong Islands seems to have longer red light stoppages, thus causing the jam sometimes all the way to Jalan Bahar junction!

more ppl driving into Jurong Island. Bottleneck at Island Checkpoint.

They expanded the number of lanes in checkpoint, but road after that still the same, imagine 8 lanes converge into 2 or 3. [sweatdrop]

Opps.....

I lost 15mins of my time each day travelling on the said road! How I know?

Because usually I can siam the AYE ERP towards Changi, i.e I go past before 8:00am.

But lately, KNN, I go past the same gantry at ~8:15am.

DAMM....must try to reroute next week....maybe go up to pioneer circle to join AYE instead!

Maybe due to Shutdown Maintenance for a number of plants in Jurong Island. A lot more contractors' and vendors' lorries and cars going into Jurong Island at the same time since they normally need to reach the worksite before 8 am.

The maintenance work should finish by early August, and the traffic should return to normal by then.....
