Speeddemon Neutral Newbie July 25, 2008 Share July 25, 2008 Dunno what that fella was trying to imply with his hazard signal but side track abit....that stretch of road has many frequent ambushes by either TP or ROV....I travel on that stretch a lot and I have already been caught twice....once by ROV for my exhuast (illegal downpipe )....luckily it was the ROV and not TP cos I was speeding .....another time was by a hidden TP mobile cam (until today i don't even know where that bugger was hiding) for speeding but luckily i only got a warning..... Thing is....the road is really wide and straight for a long stretch so its really easy to exceed the speed limit....guess the Kia was just trying to be ultra careful.... Robinhood Neutral Newbie July 25, 2008 Share July 25, 2008 May be just a new driver, too afraid to turn to away from 1st lane and get hit due to blind spot. And he's already travelling at the car's top speed liao Or simply, just pride
Arikevin Clutched July 25, 2008 Share July 25, 2008 Quote Well, you shouldn't be surprised.... from previous threads in MCF, I have come to realise that hazard lights are used for various purposes in Singapore, all from really stopping and warning of hazard, to driving slowly in rainy weather, to indicate "newbie driver ...please don't bully", to taxis wanting to change lanes to pick up passengers, to drivers changing lanes abruptly, to "I'm driving on lane 1, at my own pace, the rest of you can F888 off!".... I wonder what other use SG drivers will think off to use hazard lights for... in japan, ppl use hazard light to say sorry if they overtook u abruptly or thank you for giving ways to them. tis is a polite way to "communicate" among road users. btw to threadstarter, y can't stay within the speed limit ah? Yeshe Turbocharged July 25, 2008 Author Share July 25, 2008 btw to threadstarter, y can't stay within the speed limit ah? sorry, i not patient one, especially when same speed side by side with trucks. i prefer to speed up than accidentally sideswipe by those heavy truckers. Arikevin Clutched July 25, 2008 Share July 25, 2008 i agree with that.. if their tyre burst and u're traveling by their side, heard the pressure released from tyre is so great tat can cause severe injury/serious accident
Albeniz Turbocharged July 25, 2008 Share July 25, 2008 Quote U put right signal tell him u wanna overtake.. he put hazard signal tell u it's dangerous lor.. I like your interpretation.
Anjas Neutral Newbie July 26, 2008 Share July 26, 2008 in japan, ppl use hazard light to say sorry if they overtook u abruptly or thank you for giving ways to them. tis is a polite way to "communicate" among road users. I noticed this trait also when I was in Cape Town. I think it's good to take note of 'good' driving habits from from other countries. ↡ Advertisement
