Need recommendations on sub

Hi,

 

Currently using an active sub (Pioneer TS-WX11A)and now considering a replacement.

 

Need recommendations on a replacement and approx price.

 

I'm an all rounder on music preference and I want a sub thats boomy but something thats gives a good SOLID punch.

 

Advice appreciated.

Are you looking for a passive sub now?

If so, then ou'll have to also consider another amp to drive it and also if your HU supports a sub out.

If all are yes, then well, you have alot of choices, what's your budget?

Looking at your setup...looks more like for DVD entertainment.

If changing to passive sub, it may become quite boomy and it will not sound nice when watching DVDs

Yeah, your correct, 6.1 channel great for DTS concerts etc.... I'll check a few out in the audio shops and have a listen but I think you could be right, may ruin the whole DVD setup.
