Bummer 1st Gear July 18, 2008 Share July 18, 2008 And you know what the hypocritical thing is? All these guys who complain about people going at 90kph and road hogging just because they are going faster, suddenly seem to slow down when (1) there is a speed camera around, or (2) when there is a TP around. Strange how suddenly it becomes ok to drive at 90kph in lane 1 during those times. ↡ Advertisement

Whitemondeo 1st Gear July 18, 2008 Share July 18, 2008 Opss!! I interpret wrongly. To me, lane 1 is for overtaking.. if car in the centre lane is also doing 90km/h and I must aleast hit more than 90km/h to overtake right? As long anyone who drive faster than me while I am on lane 1, I give way to him/her and follow behind. Anyway, my apology to you. It Friday - Cheers,

Lonewolf73 Neutral Newbie July 20, 2008 Author Share July 20, 2008 (edited) Quote You have two choices: 1. Continue to follow the one in front, flash and horn, and hope he give way, but most likely he is not going to. 2. Filter to the left, drive a bit faster, cut in front if you like or continue on the "faster" left lane. TP is not going to be there to book the "roadhogger" for anything, bcoz he is not doing anything wrong. He is just driving at speed limit. Reckless driving depends on how TP defines it. If you are zigzagging in and out of traffic, it is obviously reckless driving. If you have to overtake on the left...it is up to him to decide...unfortunately. If you drive in MY highway, you would see the ones that does not give way is the "S" plate. 90% of MY car will give way and keep to the left, even though they are driving at speed limit. Talk about gracious society..this is not. Guess u're rite! We'll hv to bear wif it for time being... Edited July 20, 2008 by Lonewolf73
Getzoooom Neutral Newbie July 20, 2008 Share July 20, 2008 Quote Every morning, I am very proud of myself, driving at the middle lane of highway or expressway faster than a lot of vehicles in the 1st lane on my right. ya.. i also noticed the trend that centre lane seems always faster and smoother than 1st lane in morning traffic

macrosszero Turbocharged July 20, 2008 Share July 20, 2008 If you feel so strongly about roadhoggers: 1. overtake them and hog them back 2. high beams are remarkably annoying at night, but only if you weren't tailgating 3. nice long blast of the horn 4. overtake them and tap the brakes in their face without actually slowing down 5. overtake them and then slam on the brakes if you need a new rear bumper 6. overtake them tightly and squeeze them toward the guardrail while doing it If enough people do it, people will start to learn not to road hog. To_be_advised Neutral Newbie July 21, 2008 Share July 21, 2008 4. overtake them and tap the brakes in their face without actually slowing down Hm.....how to do this huh? Thought tap brakes will slow down at the same time right?
macrosszero Turbocharged July 21, 2008 Share July 21, 2008 Next time you park your car against a wall, look at your rear view mirror. The brakes for cars are usually set such that the lights will come on before the brakes begin to bite. So when you lightly tap or rest your foot on the brake, the car doesn't slow down very much if at all. But to the guy at the back, all he can see is that you are stepping on your brakes, so he will have to "guard" his foot on the brake just in case you brake hard also. ↡ Advertisement
