inlinesix Hypersonic August 8, 2019 Share August 8, 2019 You are right,N/A Cars not much Difference ,but Turbocharged ones...Yes. For my car, no diff. Whenever i use RON100, there is significant difference (butt feel). For RON100, even MYVI can feel the difference.
VictorLim 1st Gear August 16, 2019 Share August 16, 2019 If anyone wants to boost their octane with xylene, I have a 3 liter tin that I have sitting around that I want to get rid of for $8. Xylene is MON 103 and RON 120. Add 3 liters of xylene to 27 liters of RON98 will give you RON100. Send me a PM.
Volvobrick Supersonic August 16, 2019 Share August 16, 2019 I doubt anyone would take the risk to dump unkown items into their 100k or 200k cars. Do you operate a workshop?

My VW runs better on high octane but my truck runs way worse. If you've got an old school, high compression engine like in a muscle car or a drag car it'll be good for it. You can find a few famous brands here https://carpassionate.com/best-octane-boosters/ But for more modern, daily driving cars I don't see much use in it. ↡ Advertisement
