Effective but not practical. Look at the amount of cement used to construct such S curves. Not to mention that they are pretty high too! Sure to consume more man hours and cement to construct.

 

I believe constructing bigger and more protruding humps would solve the problem just fine.

 

Always keep things simple and effective.
