No the court clerk will not announce yr occupation but just yr summons number and yr name. But under Public Servuice law, any fine above $1K is subject to a sack. My friend in the Navy was sacked from service as his traffic fine was more than 1K. That was how I know about this law.

 

If yr emploer don't know yet, keep it that way because they won't know unless you go to jial Just pay the fine and keep it hush hush

Go read the guideline...depending on your pay, is a few times of your pay vs fine before landing a auto dismissal...

 

What done cannot be undone..., its not the end - lesson learnt, move on.

found out mi fine is up to 15k.i hope it wun be so high as i was told i will be sack if the amount is too high.i am able to pay off the fine .

 

 

anyway i really learnt my lesson but to LTA they dun care and still want to charge me.

 

my offence was altered coupon.dunoe if the punishment will be jailtime and fine or not.i jus drove my parent car and did not noe that by altering the date will be so serious.

somemore use a tape to tape back the wrong date.i realise my mistake already but i tink the court dun give a damn and only want to give me the max punishment.

 

so the lesson i learnt when u r driving or riding .must comply with the law strictly.dun be like me bo chap attitude will make me lose my job soon and my future.

Tampering with the coupon is considered cheating liow, should be more serious than not displaying, at least not displaying can say i ran out of coupon, got something urgent to attend and on my way to the nearest outlet to get the coupon.

cant afford a lawyer to fight ,have enough to pay the fine.LTA said it wun affect my job if its a traffic offence.but got to see my IO did put in cheating or not.

 

im not on contract .i noe if above a certain amount fine i will be charge by ps.

Dun think u will charge under cheating but think the is a section on tamper OPC coupon....dismissal can still appear, for Traffic offence, not that serious....

Like parking coupons. Better u dont display any coupon at all or eat a bit of the timing. If one chooses to fold the tabs instead....the $ saving is the same, but the penalty differentiate hell a lot. One compound fine, the other court case!!!!!

Same as going into Jbee for petrol. Better one go in empty tank then go in with altered fuel needles.

 

Empty tank at most kena $500 fine nia. But if kena caught with tapered needle, confirm/stamp/chop the car will be confisidated and the driver go to jail.

hope this will be a lesson... cos in the eyes of the law, ignorance is not an excuse loh. LTA takes a very serious view towards incidents relating to OPC. Good luck!

yes i understand but i 1st time offence .they stated i 1st time offence will be heavy fine .they never mention i be jail or wad.learnt my lesson for not following the rules.

MPs are pretty useless in this case unless one of them is your good friend.

 

you won't be jailed but they will lock u up until you pay. i heard that u gotta pay in full, someone else here says can pay installment
