300+bhp A4 turbo? Waw!

I had the A4 turbo for a couple of days for a feature during the first Burnpavement days, before JTA wound up.

Lovely car. 150bhp but so torquey and smooth. Punchy and great low-mid range. Sweet.

Chassis was unbelieveably neutral too.

The souped up ones were a joy to drive as well... thankfully I got to drive them before they were scrapped [cool]

The owners have since disappeared from here as well [:/]

As far as I know, there's more workshop at Leng Kee.

They used to share with VW workshop across the road when they were in the same

family. With the split, only Skoda workshop is at Ubi.

Have used both workshops and prefer the VW. Wifi available,

and can molest the showroom units when bored.

Give the spare parts folks a miss - they don't know much,

not friendly, almost arrogant.

Ubi workshop is spartan, yet still comfortable.

If bored, go check up the Geely upstairs. Folks there

might leave you alone (I prefer that) but their smiley

disposition exude "I'm ready to show and tell when you're ready"

Oops, me mot clear with my previous post.

Was relating my previous experiences.

Before the split the workshop was at VW across the road.

Now the ONLY Skoda workshop is at Ubi.

Now my warranty is over, shall use the nearer Skoda

expert - Sin Min area.

Neutral Newbie

To all Skoda Owners,

on behalf of the management and team of Harvest Automobiles, Skoda Singapore,I will like to introduce ourselves and highlight concerns that most owners are wondering..

Skoda has come a long way in the automotive industry slightly over a 100 years. As for Singapore, it has been quite recent. Changes have been made ever so often, rumors have been announced and complains always ever so forthcoming.

Harvest Automobiles recently has completed the transition change for Skoda Singapore from Czech Auto. Therefore we are now ready to face front and address all concerns.

There are a few topics that i will like to highlight:

1. Marketing plan

2. Owners concern

3. New Cars

4. Skoda's future.

Marketing plan:

Ever since we have taken over, we are now addressing the issue of brand awareness for Singapore. Lately you may have notice more advertisements are being produce, official automotive sponsor for the upcoming Great Eastern Walk 2008, upcoming TVCs and radio advertising. We are now in negotiations for the year end marketing plans. And i can say that all is well and smooth sailing. My task is to uplift and create brand awareness. Giving more confidence to future owners that Skoda is more than just a car.

Owners concern:

I have read through all complains and even met with some owners. I appreciate all feedbacks and I AM NEVER ANNOYED OR DISGUSTED BY THE FEEDBACKS. It allows me to improve further with our customer service, workshop, etc. I do value all feedbacks and look into each and every case personally. At times, i must admit that certain things are beyond my reach or command but rest assure our team is generally improving as time goes on. Changes are being made as we progress. Certain cases also highlights to me things that i may not see or know of but least i can say i am getting awareness of such scenarios through the forums or owners call ups.I thank everyone for that. Do keep your feedbacks coming in. And i will try to solve all cases to the best of my ability and also for Skoda's spirit. I humbly apologize if certain case i am unable to proceed as per your requests as at times we have strict factory rules and guidelines to follow. Some of you maybe furious and annoyed with the past service that you have received but pls bear with us and give it some time, changes are happening.

New Skoda Models:

Every owner or potential owner must have been wondering and thinking what is happening in this area. I am now here to clear your thoughts and queries.

Skoda Superb:

Arriving 4th quarter this year, will come in four different colors and two different interior tones for certain exterior colors. Three different engine specifications will arrive on our shores, 1.8TSI,3.6V6(4X4),2.0TDI CR. These cars are all highly spec, everything will be straight and direct from the factory. Nothing is locally fitted and navigation is available upon requests(or maybe even standard, TBC). Pricing? I am unable to disclose further but rest assure we are not going to price ourselves out of the market, my task in this area is to gain market share with minimal profits.

I have driven the new superb in all the engine categories. The wheelbase is shorter than the old superb but interior is still longer and bigger. The finishing is of superior quality, handling is excellent and twin boot technology is worthy of it's existence. I hope to deliver the first shipment to new customers before CNY2009. In a months time, my sales team will be taking a $5000 fully refunded cheque deposit for the new Superb. In any case when the car arrives and it is not up to your expectations we will refund that deposit to you with zero penalties. But if you are keen on it, rest assure that you're part of the first shipment and hopefully get your new Superb even before CNY2009.

Skoda Yeti:

A new SUV in the making, most information still unknown but as far as i am aware, engine range between 1.4-2.0. Available June 2009. Watch out for it!!!

Skoda Fabia:

Many owners have been why we are not bringing this model onto our shores. Let me address that concern. Firstly, the pricing is too high. Secondly, the Japanese market dominates that segment for this range. But down the pipeline we will bring it in when the new engine and DSG comes available. Year 2010. Until or unless there are some point of difference we will proceed further with it.

Skoda Octavia:

Same as before except that DSG will be introduced sometime next year. Also available on the RS models.

Skoda's Future:

We will create that brand awareness, gain more market share with minimal profits, revitalize the owner's community, events and lastly owner's get together session. Nothing changes instantly, all takes time. Soon we will be organizing a owners "makan" get together session, so watch out for it on the forum. Details to be released shortly.

Lastly, i wish to thank all that have participated in the recent survey. This has greatly provided me with a inside view of the Skoda operations. And this was one of the ways that i could case-study and improve the operations further with a hope of a smile in return from your next visit.

Safe driving, safe journey and happy reading!!!

God Bless!!!
