Kumho KU15 & KU31. Any users?

Hi,

 

Has anyone bought 17" KU31 recently? Can advise where u got them from?

 

I contacted 2 shops, all say no stock.

 

Can recommend any other shops to try?

Just changed to my 3rd set of KU31s today... but this time its MIV (Made in Vietnam).

Use my last set for almost 18mths and 35k mileage.

 

Although thread left was still enough to go another 5-10k mileage...but the noise and bumpiness is simply getting to me.

 

The new set of tires really make my ride quieter and smoother now.

Braking somehow feels much better and smoother on the pedal.

 

Price wise its cheaper than what I paid for the Korean ones last time. Value for money!

Hankook aint as value for money as Kumho.

 

If their price is closer to Kumho for the same range then perhaps I will try them out next time.

I got KU31, 215/55R17 (made in Korea) thru a friend's shop at a one time off price of $500 (cash only), is it cheaper than Hankook

My previous 2 sets of Kumho were all KU31 but MIK.

This new set of KU31s from Vietnam are manufactured only 2mths ago this yr.

 

Cant tell any difference right now...maybe in 6mths or a yr's time.

I am looking at 15" K415 Hankook at $81.

Seems like price comparable to Kumho.

I think K415 is only HP range, while KU31 is UHP for kumho.

But its still up to individual preference

Kumho got no Asymmetrical UHP tyres

Recent 32% discount from Hankook allow them to be slightly cheaper than Kumho.

Furthermore Hankook is MIK as compare to Kumho MIV

If after 32% discount can get v8 or v12 at less than $130 pcs(for 17") then its worth trying

 

Do remember to check the manufacture date as well.
