As someone else has mentioned here b4, KU31 will be slightly noisy after about 20k mileage.

My 3rd set of Ku31 is already 30k mileage and 17mths now.

Thread left still a lot except that you cant see the ESCTA print in the centre of the tyres.

On heavy rainy days, wet handling is still very safe. Dry road still as good but slightly noisy.

Like to find out do you all change tyres when its noisy or when you experience hydroplaning on the roads, or when your pocket allows?

Cheers

Orac

my Ku31 last mi no more than 30k.....feels nervous under rain as thread is 80% done. either i m too heavy or kup too much [laugh]

KU31 thread wear I think is 320. It should last much longer. How you got it 80% done at 30k. [confused]

Thanks all for ur valuable advise.

I'm on 45 series 17" too.

Just by looking at my thread depth... really seems to have more than 3mm left.

Maybe I will measure the thread depth tomorrow.

Hardened rubber or not... a bit difficult to gauge leh... coz I dont know is it becoz the road I travel daily is so uneven (and have changed so much over the mths) or my ku31s have really turned into plastic! :)

I have been using KU31 (Made in Korea) for 1.5 years and have no regrets. Just went back to the shop for tyre rotation and was quoted $78 per pcs before GST. This price is for 195/50/R15. Anyone interested please let me know.

Also the boss told me he does not keep stock and will need to order.

Finally, this tyre will last me around 50K km. Normal driving on normal sedan. Is this considered lasting?

Yo bro, how much is 195/55/R15? Can check for me? Tks.

omg tyrepac.. overpriced tyres, still claim transparency and competitive pricing...

coz they posted the Recommended retail price (RRP) if you ask me..

take them as your high end retail shop vs those neighbourhood shops..

of coz it's much higher..

A short field report of the Ku31.

Currently on kumho ecsta spt ku31 with rim size 205/55r16

Got a chance to test out the tyres yesterday evening on my way home during the heavy down pour.

Was driving along Mandai rd and I turn off to the rd leading to mandai zoo (no car heading that direction during that period of time) and did a acceleration test (90km/hr) in the rain and it just cut thru paddle of water like tofu with good hydroplane resistance. Did a emergency brake stunt and was surprise to it ability to stop in a short distance. Impressive grip in the extreme heavy rain conditions.

Hi sonicmood,

May I ask if your 31s are Korean made? How much and from whom? =)

wait till u try f1 asym german

i can corner faster now than my prev csc3 [thumbsup]

I was comparing F1 asym (MIG), CSC3 and Michelin PS and my research seem to point towards F1 asym as a good all rounder in term of grip and braking (dry and wet), noise, comfort and cost.

As user of both tires, what is your take? Also, any comment on roll resistance, FC, and wear?

Lastly, mind to reveal the tire size and cost of F1 asym.
