Hmm i already crossed all liao, cause if i jam hard on the brakes, i'll prolly be in the middle of the junction blocking vehicles. But then, no flash there. Or do red light cameras only work for straight vehicles?

Hmmm.... this I'm not sure, but I thought now camera is digital laser so no need thunder flash? Correct me if I'm wrong.

This reminds me of an incident last week.

I was as pedestrian crossing Still Road in front of MParade Library. The traffic lights turns red for straight going traffic but this M3 stop in front of the final stop line. Literally blocking the traffic from his right side. I was crossing the road behind his car, looking at him what is he doing... and he also looks blur blur as if asking me "lu kua si mi?" ... He seems didn't realise his mistake till the light at his right side traffic turns green and the vehicle start approaching from his right only he start trying to reverse back to allow traffic to pass from his right. [hur]

hey, sorry to hijack your thread, I've a question on red light camera as well.

I was travelling on Paya Lebar Road just now. After the Caltex petrol station I need to make a right turn so that I can get onto PIE towards Tuas direction. As it was my first time travelling along Paya Lebar Road, I didn't realise that I need to make the right turn until the very last minute. I end up making the right turn in a going straight only lane. When I made the right turn, the right turn green arrow was there. However, I was not sure if the traffic lights for the going straight direction was green as well when I made the right turn.

If I made the right turn on a going straight only lane when the traffic lights for the going straight direction is red, I could have trigger off the red light camera!!! Now my question is, is there a red light camera at the junction immediately after the caltex station along Paya Lebar Road (in my travelling direction)? It is the junction under the PIE bridge/flyover. Thanks in advance!

(I did not take note of the camera flash and the traffic lights of the going straight direction as I was busy thinking of whether I made the correct turn. This red light camera issue came to my mind only when I was already on PIE) [sweatdrop]

Hmm, if no camera but got uncle sam there, he might book you for failing to form up correctly for a turn.. I also no idea, i am a quite new driver, never touch cars for a few months, and not used to the road already. Oops a little edit to my screenshot. Its the exit near Alexandra Hospital. Right after the ERP gantry.

If I am correct, there is no red light camera at Paya Lebar Road (towards Geyland) junction PIE. There is a set of red light camera on the opposite direction. Hmm.. if I remember, I check again when passing by...

Not too sure if there is any traffic light camera on that junction but the Paya Lebar/Eunos area is very near TP HQ, so there are a lot of TPs travelling through that area, either in uniform or maybe off duty. So be extra careful around that area. You never know if there is a TP officer that just happen to be watching.

Hmm what about the area i circled? I went back a second time, didnt seem to see any stands. When i went pass stopline, didnt see any flash. It was almost 11pm. So no flash means never tio?

Phew, felt more relief after reading your reply. Yup, I was travelling in the direction towards Geylang. If you happen to pass by pls do help me reconfirm this again. Thanks!

Yah, I did a stunt last night indeed. I move from Lane 4 to Lane 3 abruptly, stop at the traffic light junction while the go straight direction traffic lights were green, make a right turn on the go straight lane and cut into lane 2 while turning in the junction. [sweatdrop] However, I did check for safety while doing these stunts. [rolleyes] All these happen at about 12+ midnight, hope that there's no TP at that point of time. BTW, if the TP never stop me last night, does it mean that I am safe? Will they take down my car number and charge me for reckless driving after that?

Recently there was another thread on this red light issue. There are a few bros saying that although there was no flash they are still caught for beating the red light. The new red light cameras are now mounted on tress and lamppost near traffic junction with no flash when taking pictures [sweatdrop]

If they book me they'll ask me to stop my car and book me immediately right? Am I right to say that I am safe if they never stop me and book me on the spot?

no worries bro...since u didnt see any flash and also did not cross both stoplines...

FYI, something similar happened to me 2 yrs bk, i jammed brake on a traffic junction just as it turned red, almost crossed the 2nd stopline, even had flash coming frm cam, but not a single summon.... [thumbsup]

Umm actually i crossed the first stopline when it was amber. I kept looking at the light, then too late, red already, but i was quite near the second one. I didnt notice the white line there, if i jam brake, sure to overshot by alot. So i just turned. And yeah no flash.

Btw lemme describe how the junction looks like. 2 directions. With one little 'island' in the middle. I thought it was clear, didnt notice the stopline, blur me..
