Turbocharged

garlic and altivo gave u pretty good spots and pointers. [thumbsup]

But do hold your stuff tight, Snatch thefts (when they whizz by on their 125cc motorbikes) and pickpockets are not unheard of.

So if u have a haversack, wear it in front and if u on HP talking, stay away from the street.

Take taxi, find one that has prominent signboard/ signage. If u see some no name/ small sign taxi, pls avoid, the meter can go 3x faster. [sweatdrop]

If u coffee drnker and like their drip kopi, go to Tax Ctr, opp Rex Hotel. Up there got supermkt, got a lot brands to choose from.

VN is beer and ciggy heaven. My smoker/drinker friends who come here all accelerated lung/liver damage.

At Ben Thanh, try their pho 2000 and order their srping roll. Nice!

VN girls are slimmer but quite a number got bad hygiene habits, like to unconsciously dig nose or eyeshit and VN HIV is highest among LSB girls in HCMC (24% as at 2005)

PM if u have any queries while u are in HCMC. But for LSB, dun ask me cos I have not been to one.

Cu Chi tunnels.

The dude in green is a real person and he managed to squeeze into the opening.

Crawling tru' the tunnels was a very [sweatdrop][thumbsup] experience, its pitch black and extremely cramped inside.

The traps made by the cu chi people are [shocked][shocked][shocked]

Beer is uber cheap! [nod][nod][nod]

Did not take any pics @ Ben Thanh as it was super crowded.

No pic taking allowed in the pubs, was told to keep camera. [sweatdrop]

Whiskey is also cheap. [nod]

Yes ... you have to change to USD here then go there to change Vietnam dong.

Don't expect to get good exchange rates for dong here.

So trust me ... change to USD .... then change to dong over there, the rates are better.

When you take taxi ... usually within the busier area in HCMC ... it should be about 20,000 dong ... for point to point.

When you are there .... just learn to get used to the traffic there. You know what I mean when you are there. [sweatdrop][sweatdrop]

Btw ... over there ... you must use your "horn" almost all the time when you get around.

One interesting thing to note .... I can hardly find a fat gal there. [nod][nod]

Last time I blur blur change the dong locally, but kanna chopped. The rate was very very low [hur]

Ya, they horn a lot! Someone jokingly say when they drive they can drive without a brake but cant drive without a horn! [laugh]
