the spokesman for Alfa in italy once mention this car is targetted at young execs in their 20s and 30s...

 

pple in their 20's would buy, in Italy and UK where cars are not tat expensive...its only in SG where such a car would be quite out of reach for many young working adults in their 20's...

Even with a 400 bhp Alfa 159, it still won't sell out here... So unreliable, jerky selespeed, breaks down all the time, 3 big lights instead of other's 1 or 2, high consumption, bonnet so long, car plate must put on the side instead of centre... ... Most in the target crowd would still buy a 320

 

Likewise, you don't see a lot of Focus ST as well...

I really like the Alfa Spider but its really too ex for me at this moment. Not worth it to pay through the nose for it. Still I will support any Alfas and they are not common (one of the reasons why I like) and somehow IMO manage to combine sportiness without being too outrageous. (prefer the rounder body shapes over the more boxy ones of say an Evo) But that is just my opinion.

i saw quite a few in italy recently while on tour. must admit it looks better than the pics. still a great looker among all minis as it has the 8C design cues. it looks great in red or black. although i like NA engines, but i guess turbo is the trend for now for better mileage and costs.

 

it'll def be a head turner when it comes here. enjoy the pics.
