Header Clutched July 4, 2008 Share July 4, 2008 Is the addn 3% off for ESSO using dividend card still on? If it is not, I am thinking of switching to DBS ESSO. ↡ Advertisement
Zedzee 1st Gear July 4, 2008 Share July 4, 2008 yes, the 3% rebate is for all citibank credit card. so best to use citibank dividend cc. total 8% rebate.
Azarael Clutched July 4, 2008 Share July 4, 2008 rebate is differnet from discount discount is best. rebate is after they discounted the price the u rebate from the discounted price i have both dividend and Esso platinum. Using the esso platinum is better as it is a assured 10% discount upfront.

Rickster 5th Gear July 4, 2008 Share July 4, 2008 That is true, but still, the citibank 8% rebate is slightly better, however, the problem is that you will need to accumilate at least $50 worth of rebates before they will send u a cheque. The 10% discount is upfront. Assuming u buy $100 of petrol with: DBS Esso plat (10% off) = $90 Citibank Dividend (8% After 5% petrol kiosk discount) = 92% of $95 = $87.40
Header Clutched July 4, 2008 Author Share July 4, 2008 True. But the key is that Dividend Card no points. DBS Esso/ Citi Platinum Esso still have points that can be utilised, right?
Zedzee 1st Gear July 4, 2008 Share July 4, 2008 Yes, rebate is calculated after discount. 5% dicsount + 8% rebate = 12.6% off 5% discount + 5% discount = 10% off So which do you think is better? I think if you use the citibank card for petrol, you'll have no problems with reaching $50. But, i'll switch to Esso CC when the 3% extra rebate is over. Rickster 5th Gear July 4, 2008 Share July 4, 2008 Unless you also use your esso platinum card for other purchases, else the points will amount to nothing much. DBS really sucks big time when it comes to redeeming things for their credit card points.
Header Clutched July 4, 2008 Author Share July 4, 2008 Ok, thks! So will stick to dividend card until the 3% rebate expires... any idea when will that be?

Kxbc Turbocharged July 4, 2008 Share July 4, 2008 Citi Dividend rebate applicable to all petrol stations? I know it was applicable to Shell in 2007.
Rickster 5th Gear July 4, 2008 Share July 4, 2008 citi's dividend card is applicable to all petrol brands. But only esso, they give an additional 3% (which i think has ended in the month of june, i may be wrong).

Kxbc Turbocharged July 4, 2008 Share July 4, 2008 Thanks Bro. Now I will use my Dividend card. I had been using my UOB Classic at Shell which gives me a direct 3% discount only.
Idwish Clutched July 4, 2008 Share July 4, 2008 Someone suggested using the Esso Mobil Privilege card which give 5+3=8% and linked to Dividend card + another 5% = 13% but I think Citibank now does not allow linking of Priviledge card to Dividend card.
