Good FC for 2.0L car. [thumbsup]

either he quoted onboard fc computer,

or he gave a toyota figure

or he gave the best possible FC ever, on NSH/100% expressway.

why?

even altis owners are finding it hard to achieve that kind of FC.

camry is extremely heavy.

2 litre is slightly underpowered for size/weight of camry.

official figures for camry is 14.4litres/100km. OFFICIAL specs.

my auntie's FC for camry is 11km/litre using on board. self calculate is 8.5km/litre.

2 litre camry only 4 speed auto. doesn't help in FC especially during cruising.

From 11km/L to 8.5km/L is a big diff. [shakehead]

Like you said the new camry is big, if it can achieve 10km/L, I would consider acceptable FC liao!

Yes but Honda is using I-VTEC engines now and their I-VTEC engines are not as good as their VTEC in the older days.

Oh, if only Honda make good cars then I should be seeing Honda being the top car maker globally.

And if Honda is really good in their VTEC engines, they should have a powerful sports car earlier than Nissan which has their GTR.

Honda is trying to come out a GTR equivalent car now.

Take note also that only Toyota and Nissan are Japanese's favourite cars in Japan.

It is true Honda engine feels better.

But it is a different story if i need to pay a high premium because AD is controlling the supply.

If Honda Stream can only be sold through AD, the Take it or Leave it price will definitely be much more higer than what you are paying now.

All thanks to competition from PI of course.

So another post of toyota and honda fans hitting each other.

I am not trying to promote any brand or model here, but frankly, I had more problems with my previous ES5 Civic than my present car (non-Honda) and previous cars (again non-Honda).

Engine is not the only component in the car...it's everything add up together to produce a good package.

So what engine is working fine, the rest breaks down every now and then?

Have to say the new Teana is really attractive and should command a good sales for it's affordable luxury ride.

For long lost time, I hardly see any Accords (AD ones) on the road...how come since engine is so good...

1. Somehow, good cars may not equal to good sales, at least in local context. You see, if you think Mazda cars are good and coupled with their frequent colorful car ads in ST, why don't all these translate into better sales volume right? Good review on Mazda 2 and 6 but sales is just as dismay.

2. Different drivers have different expectation, what seems to be bad may not be so for others.

Regards,

See different folks different strokes. I have owned many Japanese cars (Nissan/Mitsubishi/Mazda)and driven most if not all Japanese makes before and my current ride is an ES5 (my first Honda). I am desperately trying to ditch Honda for other makes but is struggling to make the switch. Ruling out Contis because money no enough. Looks like I gotta hang on to it.
