you might want to check how the antenna wiring is being done for your stock car..

 

some went thru the cable mgt along the side of your door sill to the back, then up to the roof.. you might want to try going from the HU, up to the roof directly..

 

otherwise, it could be the HU itself..

hmm..i have been sufering from poor radio reception...im currently using an Alpine..it seems my previous Blaupunt has better reception...im driving a Fiat Punto

Long time ago I tried using those stick on glass mounted antenna, found that this improved reception greatly! But I'm too lazy to change that for my later cars.

 

Not sure if there's any new technology nowadays which help to improve reception...? [idea]

Why not?The Bosch ones are like $40 and they work really wel and hide pretty well insie the car as well..

I've been using those for a few years...no problems other than Power98 but that station has reception problems all the time...

factory fit blaupunkt RD4 is known to be not so clear in certain channels, such as class 95

 

funny after i changed to short 5cm one for cuteness class 95 improve [laugh][laugh]

 

i just want make car as low as possible, so ditch the long antenna [laugh]

sigh.. dunno why some blaupunkt HU can't make it..

 

I had some bad experience with it as well previously
