If it's status quo, then I don't think it make a diff for most people. The pump prices are now non-unsubsidized thru-out the country.

But the foreigner fuel are taxed, then it will be a big news for most s'porean, even those on holiday.

malaysia pump prices are still subsidised . 2.7 that we are paying now is subsidised 30 sen. so non subsidised is 3 bucks.

Going to JB is more than cheap Fuel!

Makan Chendol, Mee Rebus, KFC, Spacious Shopping Mall, WaterFall, visit friends, Car servicing & also the bumpy ride on e Road.....etc [laugh][thumbsup]

Don't know. I guess the saving must be substantial for people to want to buy petrol in M'sia.

I suppose it make sense for those who stay near the causeway. The distance from their house to JB could be as little as 8km....which is just a bit more than what some people travel from their home to the nearest petrol kiosk.

As for jam, from what I see in MCF, some time the entry/exit well and experience little or no jam.

yeah . crazy jams at causeway..... damn..

I think it would be naive to think that the jams are due to petrol prices.

There are many workers and trades going on between the two countries which accounts for the majority of the jams.

This move is basically not solving the problem. The problem with petrol is with the thai borders and not the Sg border. I feel that any regulations will be hard to implement at the Thai borders.
