Yaloryalor 5th Gear June 21, 2008 Share June 21, 2008 I read today's news paper-- TODAY. On page 24 got one article written by Mr. Roy Chan. The title is "Saturday ERP 'unneccessary'" Very well said! He was saying the extension of the ERP on Saturday into the Suntec City and Marina Square area is unnecessary and ill-timed. From his past 3 years experience driven to these area, there were no problem over the traffic. He also mentioned that the MRT Circle line is not ready yet and many would have no choice but to drive in (something like tat) Thirdly, taxi charges have increased recently as the fule prices have hit record highs and inflaction is taking a toll on common folk. Why is there a need to charge ERP at a place and time where there have not been complains of traffic congestion on Saturdays? Lastly, his message to LTA: Please help those whom you are intending to serve, not add on to their already-heavy burden by taxing their pockets unnecessarily. Thank you Mr. Roy, thanks for speaking up! ↡ Advertisement

Rncw 5th Gear June 21, 2008 Share June 21, 2008 will the gahment budge? i dun think so... when comes to taxing the people, the gahment will not give way, no matter what good reasons there is, if not, how can the country pay such high private sector CEO pay scale to the cabinet? we may not have the world's highest mountains, the tallest building, or even an olympic gold medalist...but we have the WORLD'S HIGHEST PAID CABINET. Eviltrap 2nd Gear June 21, 2008 Share June 21, 2008 (edited) Singapore agencies only reply when they think they have the excuses thought up for or when they have template replies. If not, they will pretend the letter never came out. Anyway, Singaporeans have very short memory one. Just a few weeks is enough to wash away the memory. Or they will announce petrol hikes or whatever hikes to divert away the attention from this ERP issue. Once another item hikes, people's attention will divert to the most recent issue and the agencies will move on to deal with the next hike issue. Most probably by hiking another necessity. Tackle hikes with more hikes! Uniquely Singapore! I love you!! Edited June 21, 2008 by Eviltrap
Spade Neutral Newbie June 21, 2008 Share June 21, 2008 I'm going to suggest to my boss to install at Jurong Point, AMK hub, Toa Payoh hub, Tampines Mall, Geylang Road (that one specially on Friday and Saturday nights) Where it is more needed...
