Today I happen to drive by the stretch of road, traffic was not very heavy except for few taxi uncles trying to wait for passenger at the taxi stand which is only meant for 1 taxi (This might be the reason that causes the congestion as explained by LTA).

I am sad to say the gantry spoils the sight of Singapore's tourist attractions like the merlion, fullerton hotel and the esplanade. The gantry is blocking the view of the attractions. Maybe the elites feel that the ERP gantry is 1 of the Singapore's attractions.

can u pls dont complain this kind of things or not..

later they really take it seriously n shift it elsewhere.

they will backcharge the cost to you, cos u r the problem u know,

the jam there(if there is) is NOT because of

1. heavy vehicles from the construction sites. on that road alone . theres already 2 sites, one beside one marina boulevard, another one opp lau pa sat, not forgetting if u turn right u got IR and the site beside it, tat makes it 4 sites.

there is still the constrution of duno wad. its looks like a vehicular ramp beside lau pa sat.

my gps shows i m totally off the grid when i travel towards CTE, cos now tat road is becoming like upp paya lebar road, hope there wont be another case of MX5 wannabe

2. next, if you been travellin there in the morning for the past one yr

you would have realise before 6months ago, the bus lane is a total screw up, it stretches all the way to 10m before OMB before it becomes dotted and then it becomes a turn left only towards IR.

every morning u see buses trying to turn out from tat lane to proceed straught n drivers trying to turn in to marina boulevard. plus another few containers trucks tring to turn out from the site, tats it. you have ur jam.

3. but then even so , pple find excuses n put the blame on road users like u

4. even if someone manage to prove n pin point all these factors, its a honest mistake.

so if i were u, i wont suggest it to shift.

GST may increase by another % to cover back the costs of the shifting u know ?

No point complaining.

The rich local ones invest their money in Singapore, make a lump sum, then bring it back to wherever they are now without even stepping a foot into Singapore. They took money out without even contributing a single cent to the gov. or economy.

The smart local ones stay somewhere else but work here. They make their money here, contribute a bit (income tax) but most of the $$$ goes direct into their savings since they don't stay here (so no property taxes, fuel taxes, erps and all)

The poor local ones are those that stay here work here, contribute the most. They work like hell, be a good cititzen, but they wonder where are their savings? The gov. need this group of people since they are the worker bees which contribute to their salaries and to the first two group of people.

If you guys think it is hard to be the rich one, at least be the smart one.

yeah.....I suggest people should open up a bit and don't get too paranoid over places like Msia or Thailand. They are not really that bad.

I don't believe in the notion of saving for retirement. What's the point of having lots of money only when you are 50-60 years old? How many more years can you enjoy?

One should be saving and investing as you go along, enjoy some fine things in life as you go from young to old. And when you are old, you still have a good sum for security and enjoyment if you want.

In Singapore, I see it is hard for people to save and invest as they go along. The only hope is a tidy sum of CPF when they retire.
