Brock 1st Gear December 30, 2008 Share December 30, 2008 Ditto here too. I dumped VPOST as they messed up my shipment. Borderlinx is wayyyyy better plus DHL! This month, I experienced terrible problems with Borderlinx. Firstly, they didn't email me that my stuff had arrived at my post box, which they normally do. Secondly, when I tried to ship 2 of my items together, the system just hung. Tried repeatedly and same response. Decided to try again the next day. Still no go. Again on the following day, shocked to find out that 1 of the 2 items had been shipped! Contacted online chat person and they helped me to forward the issue to IT Dept and Customer Rep. Customer Rep replied and said it is too late to do anything. I emailed here and there and finally manged to get a coupon discount worth one of the shipping fee. Tried to process the 2nd item to be shipped. No go. A few days later, relogged in and found out that it had been automatically shipped mysteriously. My new credit card came and I tried to change my details under my account info. System refused to budge and it just hung. Tried contacting Customer Rep and online assistance. Still waiting for them to resolve the problem. Previously, I had shipped 4 over different shipments without problems. That was in November. Anyone facing similar problems? Blueray Hypersonic December 30, 2008 Share December 30, 2008 agreed bro, last 2 shipments ordered thru Borderlinx was quite smooth, once make payment for shipping charges will reach SG within 4 days, with DHL tracking number and link, so can call DHL to arrange convenient delivery timing. Ditto here too. I dumped VPOST as they messed up my shipment. Borderlinx is wayyyyy better plus DHL!
Drafting88 3rd Gear December 30, 2008 Share December 30, 2008 hmmm, i will try borderlinx too for my next purchase. From Vpost website, they claim they are cheap by certain percentage versus other shippers I didnt really calculate how much cheaper borderlinx is than vpost. But I do like very much their free concierge service whenever I cannot use my Singapore-issued credit card at any of the online stores.
Blueray Hypersonic December 30, 2008 Share December 30, 2008 yup, think only Borderlinx has free concierge, Vpost concierge is S$20 + 5% service fee ... have also tried one shipment with Tarazz, quite smooth and fast too, they display "full landed price" which is pretty helpful. Brock 1st Gear January 1, 2009 Share January 1, 2009 That was my initial assessment too. Let's hope it will clear up soon. Or else I have to find another alternative. Within 2 days, Borderlinx's Tech Dept resolved my issue for me. The problem had been over their side and it had been rectified. +rep to their code of biz. Liquidh 1st Gear January 1, 2009 Share January 1, 2009 Tried vPOST once, find it very expensive. Now using comGateway, much cheaper, especially for "heavy" items. "heavy" includes car parts?

Sabian Turbocharged January 5, 2009 Share January 5, 2009 For what it's worth, I ordered a GPS from Amazon and got it shipped to me via b.linx abt 10 days before I was supposed to leave for the US on Dec 6. I got it in 4 days. (2 days shipping by amazon and 2 days by boderlinx).
Stary Supercharged January 5, 2009 Share January 5, 2009 Forget Vpost..... Sometimes send them invoice, but they could not match with the item and ask again. Then after telling them which to match, they take days to come back. I have an item arrived at Vpost since last week, and until today, they still haven't give me the shipping charges yet. Very slow in processing an item after the item had arrived in Vpost USA.

Sony 1st Gear January 5, 2009 Share January 5, 2009 anyone tried ordering stuff from the US and getting them delivered via V POST? Reliable? depends.. another alternative is comgateway where I used them to ship rims and my ipod controller.. Fast and cheap.. They took 1 week to fly in the rims while Vpost will take 4weeks to ship in. Price are comparable to Vpost but I also know one brother here that uses them and have a lot of headache.. Osiris 1st Gear January 5, 2009 Share January 5, 2009 anyone tried ordering stuff from the US and getting them delivered via V POST? Reliable? Did Vpost rate went down? abt 1 year ago it was more expensive to ship via vpost. I order direct from amazon
Sony 1st Gear January 5, 2009 Share January 5, 2009 Use direct shipping by retailer where possible. In terms of Vpost, there is a risk that retailer may use over size boxes to ship your items and u hv to pay high shipping cost for the volumetric weight instead of actual weight. must always ask for compact packaging.. last time, i brought a digi cam battery which is half the size of a name card and guess what amazon used, a box with the dimension of a A4 sized paper.. lucky shipping is free.. ↡ Advertisement
