Ordered some stuff from Amazon and had it shipped via VPostUSA, no hassles and entire process took about 2 weeks.

Check out their website to view the list of prohibited items.

Yup I used VPOST to order 20+ books over from Amazon... very efficient service from VPOST. However make sure the total cost of your order plus shipping charges from VPOST doesn't exceeds SGD400 in a single shipment or they will levy a 7% GST on the total value of your purchase [hur][hur][hur]

I kanna before coz I didn't expect the shipping charges by VPOST to be so high... calculated the shipping charges using metric weight, but VPOST calculated my shipping charges using volumetric weight which was more than double of what it would have cost via metric weight. [smallcry][smallcry][smallcry]

For starters you can try shopping using VPOST itself... it has a shopping site filled with items from approved merchants at similar prices as when shopping from the merchant site itself.

I used Vpost for quite some time.. Most orders are from amazon.. Just send Vpost a email invoice of whatever you order with the tracking number and prices.. Very easy..thumbsup.gif

Vpost alway deliver within one week or 5 working days for me.. no complaint on waiting time, thumbsup.gif but the shipping charge is very very expensive.. thumbsdown.gif

As for US side, sometime your item may get lost during transit.. Mine kenna 2 time.. Email them and they check and replace FOC for me.. thumbsup.gif

This is unlike some very 'service orientated' online SG shops which will reply you with sarcastic email.. thumbsdown.gif

Tried vPOST once, find it very expensive. Now using comGateway, much cheaper, especially for "heavy" items.

Neutral Newbie

Use direct shipping by retailer where possible.

In terms of Vpost, there is a risk that retailer may use over size boxes to ship your items and u hv to pay high shipping cost for the volumetric weight instead of actual weight.

If you are a Citibank card holder, www.borderlinx.com

They hold your items in their vault for 1 month where you can consolidate and ship them over for cheaper.

Yeah... I ended up paying ~$300 shipping for an item from the US due to the volumetric weight ... too bad, bo pian as the retailer does not ship outside of the US. [:/]
