bro, sometimes chinese sinseh is no exist for no reason, my mum was treated by western doctor before switching to chinese sinseh, the thing actually spread, but afte seeing the chinese sinseh for the 1st treatment, the thing stop spreading... really, so i think sometimes is good to have 2nd opinion too.

i got snake too, but discovered it like 3 4 days after i had it because i was young, and it was itchy! haha, but i nv had chicken pox at all before and i had shingles, so will chicken pox still attack me?

i got shingles at the age of 5 and i got chickenpox during school holiday while i was in primary 2.... what a lausy holiday.... so i hope i answer your qn to whether got shingles will still got chickypox

Such a thing is possible. Usually chickenpox may not attack in such case.... just like my sis, same situation. this thing resides in ur blood and present themselves as snake or cold sores next to ur lips... mind u, pls don't kiss if it comes next to ur lips, its just like STD, can spread to ur partner.

Its more of a sensation than itch leh... a bit hot hot, a bit itch, a bit irritating, a little pain... ha ha... my cold sores still attack sometimes but as i grow older, it seems to be less often.

that doesn't mean its not going to come.... can come as cold sores or snakes.

This is known as "Shingles" and don't bother trying the traditional "hocus pocus" way of treating it, like what they say catching the snake or something.

 

Western medicine can cure one.

not to worry too much, the important thing is to start anti-viral medicaton straight away usually 5 x a day for 7 days.

 

let the blisters slowly dry up.. (u can use potassium permagament solution to speed up the drying process.. (remember to dilute till very light purple color).

 

2 other medicines that is useful, 1 is pain- killer.. use 1 that is long-acting (e.g arcoxia. or u may use pain-killer coupled with muscle relanxant, for e.g anarex, norgesic.) 2 is anti-histamine (piriton, zyrtex, xyzal, cetrizeine etc).

 

Losts of vit C for skin healing and maintain a well-balance diet, u may choose to abstain from seafood / chicken, it's totally ur choice.

 

sleep well to boost ur immunity. stay away from other ppl who might be having a flu / cough..

 

Recovery is about 2 weeks.

There will be some scarring of the skin post infection......

i heard of that before too! my mum was so shocked when my neighbor told her to bring me to someone to draw a special tiger, and must be by someone whose zodiac is tiger too.

i never had any relapse after the first attack, thank god. but i really wish that chicken pox dont come. =) i think its in our genes. oh! how about mumps(zhu tao pi)?
