front look nice but the back look like type-r lehz.. why they wanna go the hatchback route??

Why they wanna do hatch-back route is no secret? To be more competitive in WRC.

 

However, I would like to bring up the fact (if anyone has notice) the line between hatch and coupe has somewhat blurred. To me, this pic is a two door hatch rather than a two door coupe (yes, CLS is a 4-door coupe). Also, you guys can take a look at the Opel Astra "Coupe". To me, a proper "coupe" is something along the line of a 350Z etc.

Subaru already has the Impreza hatch, so WRC is not the reason for this coupe.

 

Reason is that Toyota is developing a coupe with Subaru so each of them will be

selling the coupe under their own brands but with different body shells.
