Hi, where did you buy it? I just traded in mine today at PH and bought the CSC2. After running the 522 for 6k+ km, I find them rather quite noisy and rides were rather bumpy (probably due to hard sidewall and low profile). The wet grip and cornering were fairly good. But I wanted comfort and fair performance tyres so changed to the CSC2.

Hi,

Been on this ZE522 since Nov 07. Coming to 10k km soon.

Got it when I upgrade from 15" to 17" rims.

A bit more noisy than my 15" Michellin XH, but bearable. Can hold decent conversation.

A bit more bumpy but that could be due to lower profile and not the tyre's quality.

Definitely quieter and more comfortable than cheaper brands like Sonar.

However, wet grip a bit lacking, skidded slightly in wet basement carpark once.

Dry grip ok. Cornered at 60-70 km/h can still hold the line well.

Compound is quite tough....almost 10k km, I still hardly see any wear. Can easily pass off as a new tyre after a good scrub.

Think it is a good buy when packaged with rims. Just tyres alone can be a bit ex and top up a bit can get more comfortable ones like GR80.

Overall, good compromise between grip and comfort.

Enjoy! [thumbsup]

No tyres will have good wet grip in wet basement carpark or infact most wet MSCP carpark because they are normally laid with cement, tyres are designed to work well with "tar" roads, not cement surface
