Does Toyota Harrier 240G 16 valve VVTi engine using a timing chain or timing belt?

 

Just checking for a friend as his Harrier has hit 140K kms and was advised to change timing belt.

Timing chain runs the overhead cams.(this one highly unlikely)

 

The belt runs your air-con, pumps, power steering and alternator.

Timing chain. Can last at least 250'000km.
