Ultramega 1st Gear June 2, 2008 Share June 2, 2008 (edited) Need some advice from forumers of MCF who travel frequently, what is the best credit card to use overseas? ... particularly for USA, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Bali and Malaysia. I mean in terms of credit card rewards, bank rates, discounts and such. Thanks! Edited June 2, 2008 by Ultramega ↡ Advertisement

Lgt1977 Neutral Newbie June 2, 2008 Share June 2, 2008 u going to be a frequent flyer? If you are and you are going to be with SQ all the time maybe a kris flyer type of credit card is good for you. 1. America Express Krisflyer https://www212.americanexpress.com/dsmlive/...000cef4ad94RCRD 2. Citi Bank - PRemierMiles http://www.citibank.com.sg/SGGCB/APPS/port...et/cc_xx_pm.htm 3. UOB - Visa signature Card http://www.uob.com.sg/pages/personal/cards...naturecard.html If not you might want to take a look at the following 1. Citi Bank - Dividend Card 2. ABM AMO - Not sure but i was told that if you withdraw cash oversea, they will not charge you any interest. 3. Not many cards have tied up with retailers oversea to give discount and for bank rates, i guess it is more or less similar. Didnt take note of that part. Chickenbackside 1st Gear June 2, 2008 Share June 2, 2008 When overseas, no difference. If you wanna accumulate Kris Flyer points as you spend, choose cards that let you convert your spending points to Kris Flyer points like DBS Altitude card or UOB Signature card. Solar Turbocharged June 2, 2008 Share June 2, 2008 if u foresee yourself spending, get your credit limit increased first.. or else you'll be spending $$$ being put on hold for overseas call to the sg banks' call center... wait and wait...listening to music and 'your calls are important' yada yada..
