Kazuo Neutral Newbie June 1, 2008 Share June 1, 2008 AE101 is G7? Meaning their parts can fit on EP80? For example shocks, spring, brakes? ↡ Advertisement
Kyojin 1st Gear June 1, 2008 Share June 1, 2008 not all, esp the suspension. i think the brakes can be transplanted onto the EP80. I've heard of a few pple doing it. but other than that, pretty much different. the closest match are the Paseo, Sera and Tercel.
Starletgt Neutral Newbie June 2, 2008 Share June 2, 2008 Well the radiator can be used on a starlet. If your talking about EE101 the engine is a 4efe and it can definately install into the starlet P&P
Albeniz Turbocharged June 2, 2008 Share June 2, 2008 Well the radiator can be used on a starlet. If your talking about EE101 the engine is a 4efe and it can definately install into the starlet P&P Putting a Corolla engine into a starlet? Are we talking about putting a 1300-1600cc engine into a 1000cc body? Is this possible in Singapore?
Robo 2nd Gear June 2, 2008 Share June 2, 2008 eh.... entirely possible....

Kyojin 1st Gear June 2, 2008 Share June 2, 2008 the gahmen say "do anything u want, just don't get caught" Starlet can take any E-series engine without problems. largest E series is 5E which is 1496cc.
Albeniz Turbocharged June 2, 2008 Share June 2, 2008 The gahmen say "do anything u want, just don't get caught" Can the VICOM tester tell that it is a 1500cc engine by visual inspection?
Tanjkp Clutched June 2, 2008 Share June 2, 2008 Can the VICOM tester tell that it is a 1500cc engine by visual inspection? Can, EP80 head is smaller. The 101 head is bigger with DOHC. So unless the inspector only look at eng no. which some know how to engrave the same....
Albeniz Turbocharged June 2, 2008 Share June 2, 2008 Can, EP80 head is smaller. The 101 head is bigger with DOHC. (1) Then, how to pass VICOM test if inspector can tell? (2) And the other thing is road tax. Isn't the owner suppose to pay road tax for 1.5L instead of 1.0L? Would it be double brush with the law in this case? Kyojin 1st Gear June 2, 2008 Share June 2, 2008 it's highly illegal, so we don't condone or discuss stuff like these here.
Kazuo Neutral Newbie June 3, 2008 Author Share June 3, 2008 Nothing illegal. looking for lowered springs. see what other model can fit.
Tanjkp Clutched June 3, 2008 Share June 3, 2008 Just provide opinion. Def cannot accept. 1) Change of eng to bigger cc will defy the safety of the original design eng (smaller). 2) With higher power eng, braking and suspension etc will be in question to keep the car in safe running and controllable condition.. Know of quite some of the EP cars fitted with 1.3L eng. Just wonder if they keep one original one for inspection or maybe got lobang to "rent" one from w/shop for it. Ever know of someone stayed in bungalow with a very old Jag driving around but had another same model in the backyard sitting on stands probably keep as spare for the running unit. Kyojin 1st Gear June 3, 2008 Share June 3, 2008 think you must be mistaken. all EP cars are fitted with 1.0L engines in Singapore. ↡ Advertisement
