Fortress Clutched June 2, 2008 Share June 2, 2008 The best option is to change 2 rear tyres. Hence was the reason I have always stayed on my stock wheels. ↡ Advertisement

Lightspeed Clutched June 2, 2008 Share June 2, 2008 (edited) Can try american made COOPER ZEON 2XS 205/55/16 @ $150 each... and these tires are in the Ultra High Performance range COOPER ZEON 2XS PRODUCT OVERVIEW The Cooper Zeon 2XS is a premium ultra-high performance summer tire. The W- and Y-speed-rated 2XS is designed to provide the excellent cornering ability and steering response along with optimum wet and dry traction and high-speed capability. As a summer tire, the Cooper Zeon 2XS is not intended to be driven in snow or ice. Ultra High Performance Directional Tire Speed Rating : W, Y Specially designed "double shoulder" tread for a quieter ride Central rib provides quick steering response Deep thread in the center and slightly shallower tread on shoulders results in better wet handling Silica tread compound, balance wet griping and tread wear HANDLING-SPECIFIC DESIGN FEATURES The central rib provides quick, crisp steering response. A direction tread pattern allows for water evacuation from contact area. OPTIMIZED TIRE PROFILE The slightly rounded mold profile of the Cooper Zeon 2XS balances wet traction and long tread life. DOUBLE SHOUDLER TREAD ELEMENT The shoulder tread block is divided into two harmonically mated segments. The calculated stagger of the tread element reduces noise frequency, allowing a quiet ride. TAPERED TREAD This design feature puts deep tread in the center and slightly shallower tread in the shoulders. This puts more rubber down in the fastest wearing part of the tire, the center. The result is less weight and improved wet handling. You can even purchase them online http://www.coopertirestore.com Edited June 2, 2008 by Lightspeed

Try_conti 2nd Gear June 2, 2008 Author Share June 2, 2008 i know ... the GR80, CPC2 and FD2 are touring tires. The rest are performance tires but if price not much diff might as well pay a bit more to get better grip. Of course those UHP ones are out because of the noise. Fisheye Neutral Newbie June 2, 2008 Share June 2, 2008 Bro, For the price offered for both the Hankooks and the Federals, they're the best priced tires for excellent performance. Have tried Feds SS595s on my previous ride and with my current spb, have gone thru Bridgestone ER30 (stock), Eagle F1 GSD3, and the Hankook RS2s and frankly speaking, Hankooks are really good. I'm on my second set of RS2s and they're really stable at high speed both in the wet and dry... they really stick your car to the road... Would have gotten the Feds if not for its relatively low max load index. Think bro Koolaba's feds maybe able to take our heavy cars
Koolaba 1st Gear June 2, 2008 Share June 2, 2008 You may want to check with Justin for the price of the Federal Formoza FD2. His prices are very competitive.

Try_conti 2nd Gear June 4, 2008 Author Share June 4, 2008 ok ... latest update. Changed to 595EVO liao. Just drove back from PH via CTE & PIE to Jurong. A distance of some 28+km. I must say that the tires are VERY VERY quite. Unbelievably quite. I was going at around 95km/h. And Federal classify that under their motorsports tires ? http://www.federaltire.com/en/html/pdetail...s&pdline=1&ID=2 For the price I paid, think its worth it (so far) .....
