STOMPer Sharlene wonders why this jacked-up Land Rover, that has been parking at an HDB carpark in Commonwealth for months, has not been issued with summons.

"There are no parking tickets or an RFID disc on the car. Not sure if this is a foreign licence plate also," she says.

The STOMPer adds:

"Maybe because it has been jacked up, so the parking attendant can't reach to put any summon tickets?

"Or is it because the tyres do not touch the ground, it is not considered as 'parked'?"

The STOMPer says the Land Rover is depriving other vehicles of parking space.

Turbocharged

According to the stomper, this vehicle has been parked in Commonwealth area for a few months.

One possible explanation:

The owner is currently out of the country (maybe for a few months).

Commonwealth area is notorious for flooding and repair for this car can be expensive due to a lack of spare parts. He decided to do so to prevent a flood damage, while he is away.

By jacking the car up, it would be less stressful on the tyres too.

Hence, he made such a decision before he flown off.

Wouldn't it be better to park the LR in a sheltered place, or get a guardian to look after it, if the owner is going away for months?

The battery won't be able to start the car by the time the owner gets back.

Stompers are really bo liao and kaypo... rolleyes.gif

The Land Rover is a vehicle right? Then why this Sharlene says it is depriving other vehicles of parking space.. sibeh bo liao.. And season parking discs need not be displayed on the windscreen, it won't get any summonses if season parking for that car park is paid.

Anyway, WA is local plate for heavy vehicles, e.g WB, XA and XB

it is possible. but i was wondering, won't this type of car trap water after a rainy day?

should be better kept in a shelter though.... i could almost imagine the possibilities.. some nasty person could just pour salt all over the car... or someone would have vandalise the car with acid or pushed it over! not that i'm suggesting others to do so but yeah... i'm sure its a bad idea to leave a car out in the open like this.
